Rainbow Snack Taste Test
Looking for a quick and colorful way to complete part of your Running With The Pack Wolf Adventure? This simple snack challenge is a fun, hands-on activity that helps fulfill Requirement 1 of Running With The Pack.
- Requirement 1: Sample 3 different foods that are naturally 3 different colors. The food must be a protein, a vegetable, a fruit, dairy, or a grain.

Supplies You Need:
Grab 3 healthy foods that are each a different natural color and from different food groups. You can choose whatever you already have at home! You can use our Snack Challenge Printables (free for a limited time) to help you with your lesson. The infographic can visually help you and the kids as you discuss different fruits and vegetables and the importance of eating from the entire rainbow. The Taste Test Tracker is a fun way for kids to mark down their thoughts as they try out new foods.

Red (Fruit or Vegetable)
Strawberries
Cherry Tomatoes
Sliced Red Bell Pepper
Yellow (Grain or Fruit)

How To Do The Taste Test:
- Set out the foods on a plate or tray.
- Ask the kids to name each color and food group.
- Taste one at a time and talk about what they like or notice.
