Build a Model of Your Home
One of the most fun and hands-on parts of the Council Fire Adventure is building a model of your home! Whether your Wolf Scout prefers using cardboard, LEGO bricks, or recycled materials, this creative project is a perfect way to blend imagination and real-world learning. It also helps fulfill Requirement 3 of Council Fire.
Requirement 3: Build a model of your home.

Build A Model Of Your Home
This doesn’t have to be complicated! Your Scout can:
– Use cardboard, cereal boxes, or paper towel rolls
– Build with blocks, wood scraps, or building toys
– Sketch it on paper or make it with play dough
Simple Building Materials Ideas
Cereal Boxes – house walls & roof
Toilet Paper Rolls – chimneys or support beams
Paper Plates – roof shingles or garden space
LEGO – full 3D model
Popsicle Sticks & Glue – framed structure
Markers & Stickers – add decorations & details
Personalization Ideas
Encourage your scout to include:
– Their room!
– Family members (paper dolls, blocks, etc.)
– Pets or Yard features
– Something that makes their home feel special
Optional: Turn It into a Neighborhood
If you’re planning to do Requirements 4 and 5, save your materials! Your scout will use them to build a community building (Req 4) and then combine the two to make a neighborhood (Req 5).
