3. Statue of Liberty
Standing tall in New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France and represents freedom & hope. The seven spikes on the crown represent the seven continents and seven oceans, the tablet held in the left hand bears the date of the American Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776. The statue is struck by lightning approximately 600 times per year!

4. Liberty Bell
The Liberty Bell rang out for the first time in 1776 at the reading of the Decleration of Independence. It’s famous for it’s giant crack that no one knows where it came from. The Bell stands 3 feet tall and 12 feet wide at the base of the bell. It weighs over 2000 pounds!!

5. The White House

7. Mount Rushmore
This giant carving in South Dakota features four presidents who shaped our country: Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln. The faces of the presidents are each about 60 feet tall and behind Lincoln’s face is a secret room called the Hall of Records and it contains porcelain enamel panels with the text of the Declaration of Independence and other important U.S. documents.
