10 Supplies for an Easy DIY Dinosaur Dig
Planning a dinosaur dig sounds epic and will be so much fun for kids! It can be hard, though, once you are knee deep into Pinterest and complicated set-up ideas. Don’t worry, this post has you covered. Whether you’re running a Cub Scout meeting, hosting a birthday party, or just pulling together a fun homeschool unit, these supplies will help you create an awesome hands-on fossil dig that’s easy to prep and exciting and memorable for kids.
Requirement 3: Be a paleontologist and dig through a dinosaur dig.

Must Have Dino Dig Supplies:
1. Sensory Bins – a must have to add your sand and fossils to.
2. Play Sand or Kinetic Sand – you may be able to get sand at Lowe’s or Home Depot, but make sure it is play sand and safe for kids to be digging through. If not, I have linked a few great options.
3. Mini Dinosaur Fossils or Mini Fossils – kids love digging for some fun fossils.
4. Kid Safe Dig Tools (I recommend saving $ and getting a dig kit which includes tools.
5. Dino Dig Kits – instead of buying all the supplies separately you can save money by buying a kit.
