cut and paste my plateI found this My Plate project via Pinterest and thought it would be a fun activity for the kids to do to help them better understand what grains, fruits, proteins, dairy and vegetables are. You will need some construction paper, (note that in this picture the colored sections aren’t cut to the correct size. you can see the correct plate portions here.) old food magazines (thrift stores often have piles of them for super cheap or free) and a small poster board which can be found in packs at your local dollar store.
